Dr. Hadii Mamudu Presents at International Conference
Dr. Hadii Mamudu, Associate Professor for the Department of Health Services Management and Policy in the East Tennessee State University College of Public Health, recently presented at the 17th World Conference on Tobacco or Health. The conference was held in March 2018 in Cape Town, South Africa.
The World Conference on Tobacco or Health is a call for a collective resolution to fight tobacco by working together and integrating tobacco control into health and development goals. Dr. Mamudu served on the conference scientific committee and presented six abstracts at the conference.
Dr. Mamudu oversees the Tobacco Policy Research Program at ETSU and has published extensively on issues related to global tobacco policy. His research interests include cardiovascular health management, global health, tobacco control, public health policy, the World Health Organization Framework, the Convention on Tobacco Control, wellness and health promotion, and health services research.
