Aimee Rowe Selected as TPHA Academician of the Year
From the nomination form: “Her quiet demeanor makes her approachable for students who otherwise
may be intimidated or slow to respond to an instructor. Her efficient and relaxed teaching style creates an educational environment suitable for various learners. Aimee is truly deserving of this award as she is
dedicated to helping shape the future public health leaders and providing experiences and opportunities for our students that build confidence in their field, grow as professionals, and educate the community. The work that Aimee has done for our community also shows her compassion and dedication to improving the quality of life of the public."
Ms. Rowe received both her Bachelor of Science in Public Health and her Master of Public Health from East Tennessee State University. Her research focus is emergency care training and disaster preparedness and response.
Dr. Wykoff, Dean of the College of Public Health, said “Recognition by her state-wide peers as the outstanding academician of the year is a wonderful validation of the exceptionally valuable contributions that Ms. Rowe has given to many years of public health students. We are extremely proud of her accomplishments and of this recognition.”
