Dr. Liang Wang Elected to CHPAMS Board
Dr. Liang Wang, Assistant Professor in the Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology, was elected as Director of Public Relations for the Board of Directors of the China Health Policy and Management Society (CHPAMS).
In 2008, with the guidance and financial support from the Chinese Medical Board, an independent US foundation that aims to advance health in China and other Asian countries, a group of expatriate Chinese young scholars founded the China Health Policy and Management Society (CHPAMS) in Cambridge, Massachusetts. CHPAMS was created with the overarching goal of improving the health of Chinese people through advancing health research in China. In particular, it aims to foster academic exchanges and collaborations among health scholars from overseas and Chinese academic communities, to facilitate scholars who are now working or studying overseas to work in China, and to help building the health research capacities of Chinese institutions.
Dr. Wang is also an editorial board member for CHPAMS official journal, China Health Review. The journal promotes health research, policy, practice, and education related to China and the general population health sciences by publishing original research, reviews, and other appropriate information.
