College Offers Two of the Top Five Online
A March 1, 2021 the Education Advisory Board (EAB) identified the top five online graduate programs with the highest demand, but the lowest availability. Two of the top five degrees are offered online by the East Tennessee State University College of Public Health.
First, EAB identified 19 programs with the highest increases in student demand between the 2016-2017 and 2018-2019 academic years based on the number of reported distance delivery completions. From there, they assessed the competitive landscape for each of these 19 programs. They identified 5 programs as meeting the “high demand” and “low availability” criteria:
- Health Care Administration and Management
- Public Administration
- Educational/Instructional Technology
- Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration;
- Public Health
The College of Public Health has been offering on-line degree programs since 2002.
Today, the College offers the Master of Health Administration (MHA), considered the gold-standard professional degree for those seeking leadership positions in healthcare administration, and three concentrations in the Master of Public Health (biostatistics, community health, and epidemiology) long-recognized as the preeminent preparation for public health practice.The programs can be completed fully online or with campus-based delivery, with the option of fall or spring term start.
