Day of the Breath: An Interprofessional Stress Management Event

Blue sky with white fluffy clouds with the word "breathe" over the top. At the bottom, green grass with text on top: "day of the breath: free event"

IMPORTANT: Due to an unavoidable conflict, this event has been postponed. We will post the new date here and on our Facebook and Twitter as soon as it is set.

The ETSU Medical Library will host "Day of the Breath" on Sep 15, a free event for students promoting stress management and healthy living. We especially encourage medical and other health sciences students to attend and discover some approaches and local resources for managing stress.

Our special guest, Dr. Reid Blackwelder, will conduct a free yoga class followed by a lecture. You can also visit tables for other service providers such as ETSU campus recreation, ETSU nutrition, the Tennessee Suicide Prevention Network, and local yoga/fitness class providers. A light lunch will be provided.

This event will take place in the Medical Library (VA Building 4) from 12:30 to 4 pm on Thursday, September 15th. Yoga will run from 12:30 to 1:30 in the library basement (mats provided, or bring your own), with Dr. Blackwelder's lecture from 1:30 to 2:00 pm. Students, faculty, and staff are welcome to attend.
