Graphic Medicine: Events and National Exhibit
The ETSU Medical Library will be hosting a traveling exhibit from the National Library of Medicine from April 29 through June 8. The exhibit, “Graphic Medicine: Ill-Conceived and Well-Drawn!” explores the use of comics formats to tell stories of health and illness. We will
be holding several events related to the exhibit, including:

"Wrinkles" Pizza and a Movie Night
An animated film adaption of a graphic medicine work about life with dementia in a
nursing home (the "Wrinkles" book has been added to the library's collection)

The medical library will also have a special book display showing examples of graphic
medicine works. Events are also be posted on the library’s Facebook page. Events are
open to all faculty, staff, students, and the public so feel free to bring friends,
family, and alumni.
If you have not yet had a chance to hear Dr. Eric Avery speak, his talk is the first event on Thursday May 2 at 6pm in Stanton Gerber. Dr. Eric Avery is the spring 2019 Basler Chair and currently has the exhibit EPIDEMIC on display at the Reece Museum with Adam DelMarcelle through May 31, confronting topics such as the HIV and opioid epidemics.
