Labor Day and Renovation-Related Closures

The following changes to hours and access will take place due to basement renovations and the upcoming Labor Day holiday. 

The library basement will be CLOSED on Wednesday, August 31st and Thursday, September 1st for carpet cleaning. There will be no basement card swipe access. The top two floors of the library will be open and staffed from 8am to midnight on these two days. 

The library also will be CLOSED with the university on Monday, September 5th for the Labor Day holiday. The library will fully close at midnight on Sunday, September 4th with no basement access overnight. We will reopen with normal hours at 8am on Tuesday, September 6th. There will not be card swipe basement access on the 5th due to ongoing renovations. 

We appreciate your patience with the renovations, which are making significant improvements in the basement. We expect the new tables to be assembled Sep 7th-9th, after which the space should be much more suitable for studying, small group work, and other uses.
