ETSU pharmacy school students earn bachelors through degree completion program
JOHNSON CITY (Dec. 16, 2019) –During East Tennessee State University’s (ETSU) Fall Commencement, nine students pursuing their Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) at ETSU Bill Gatton College of Pharmacy completed their Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy Studies. The commencement and hooding ceremony was held on Saturday, Dec. 14, in ETSU’s Ballad Health Athletic Center (Mini Dome).
Gatton College of Pharmacy’s bachelor’s degree completion program is a way for students enrolled in the college’s Pharm.D. program without a bachelor's degree to complete it while also earning their Pharm.D.
The following current students earned their Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy Studies:

- Keirstian Hall (’22), Harlan, Kentucky
- Nichalos Jarvis (’22), Benham, Kentucky
- Tate Messer (’22), Parrottsville, Tennessee
- Chandler Parton (’22), Fall Branch, Tennessee
- Deep Patel (’20), South Barrington, Illinois
- Zara Petzoldt (’22), Ellenton, Florida
- Kaitlyn Phillips (’22), Erwin, Tennessee
“We are so proud of these graduates for their hard work and determination earning their undergraduate degree,” said Dean Debbie Byrd. “This is their next step to ultimately earn their Pharm.D., and I look forward to one day seeing their impact in health care as pharmacists.”
