Cohort Programs

School of Continuing Studies and Academic Outreach

Cohort Programs reach out to the community to serve those students who live outside of Johnson City and have family and career responsibilities that make attending classes on campus impossible.

An educational cohort is designed to allow a group of students to work together toward their degree or academic objective.

For students who live or work a distance from the University, cohort programs are often established at off-campus locations. This enables busy, working adults to further their education in spite of other demands on their time.

"I love being a part of a cohort! I have gotten to know my fellow students and feel like we are family. We help each other, encourage each other, and have fun together. You get to know your Instructors and they have time to answer your questions. Cohorts provide an awesome college experience with the convenience of being close to home. College doesn't get any better than this."
