Why did you choose ETSU? I chose ETSU because it is one of the most affordable four-year institutions in the
region. In addition, ETSU has a wide variety of health professions to be exposed to
and stimulate an aspiring physician. The social aspect of ETSU is great because it
is small enough to where you can meet so many people and get close to them over the
years, but also enough people where you can always meet new people.
What would you want a prospective student to know before coming on a tour with you?
I would want to emphasize that ETSU is pretty much its own entity away from the city,
rather than have the city integrated inside the campus. This gives me a feeling of
security and safety on campus no matter what time of day it is.
Favorite thing about ETSU:
My favorite thing about ETSU is the location. It is so central that a student can
go almost anywhere. I can drive 5 minutes and go hiking, or 5 minutes in the opposite
direction and be in downtown Johnson City. Ashville is also an hour away and Myrtle
Beach is also within reasonable distance. There are so many options for students to
spend their free time that it is honestly quite amazing.
