Wednesday, November 05, 2008JOHNSON CITY – “Molecules in Space” is the topic of a free public Star Party/Observatory Open House to be held this Saturday (Nov. 8) at East Tennessee State University’s Harry D. Powell Observatory.
Scheduled from 8-10 p.m., the event features a brief discussion led by Dr. Frank Hagelberg, ETSU associate professor of Physics and Astronomy, followed by an opportunity to view celestial objects through the observatory’s telescopes. Hagelberg and other ETSU astronomers will be available to assist visitors and answer questions.
The Powell Observatory is located above the ETSU campus off Narrow Lane. In case of rain or cloud cover, the event will be canceled.
