I earned both my BA and MA from the University of South Alabama. My BA is in Broadcast Journalism and my MA is in Public and Corporate Communication. I joined the ETSU family in 2024 as a faculty member. In that short time, I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the students and campus community. I have received a warm welcome from faculty, staff and students. I'm so happy to be here! In addition to my standard responsibilities as a faculty member, I am currently the department representative for TEDx ETSU and the “COMM 2025 Large Lecture Lead” where I oversee graduate teaching assistants in their teaching roles for the department.

I teach general education courses where I introduce them to the field of communication and enhance their public speaking skills.

On A More Personal Note

My husband and I have 4 kids who keep us very busy with their activities. We love watching our kids do what they love- baseball, theatre/dance, soccer, softball and snowboarding! We are a highly competitive family- "UNO No Mercy" was made for us!
