Brand and Media Strategy – May 2020
Steven studies in our Brand and Media Strategy master’s program. Originally from Knoxville, Tennessee, Steven graduated from Media and Communication in 2013 with a concentration in journalism. Templin admits he was hesitant to return to school, but he said it’s been a great decision.
“At first I was scared and nervous to come in,” he said. “I’m much older than a lot of the students in the program. When I came in, everybody welcomed me with open arms. The students and the teachers really took me in and wanted to see me win. It’s really like a family department.”
He is currently working with BucDigital, the master’s project class, as an account manger for the ETSU Creative Arts program.
“We have actual, live clients on campus,” he said. “We work with about 20 programs within that department and help them recruit out-of-state students coming into the program.”
With the hands-on experience he gets in Brand and Media Strategy classes, he is confident that he will find even more success after he crosses the stage in May.
