Associate Professor of Urban Studies

Dr. Ke Chen earned her B.A. in Urban Planning from Nanjing University (China), M.A. in Regional Economics in Beijing Normal University (China), and Ph.D in Geography from the University of Cincinnati. Her teaching interests are in the areas of urban planning, GIS, and quantitative analysis. Dr. Chen's research interests focus on the urban development, urban finance, land use and growth, and GIS applications in social studies. She is also interested in urban growth and public administration in China. She has published articles in a number of journals including Geojournal, Public Financial Research, Journal of Housing Research, The Economic Development Quarterly, Industrial Geographer, and Journal of Applied Remote Sending.
