Appalachian Student Research Forum (ASRF) Organized
April 6-7, 2022: The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs Administration (ORSPA) has successfully organized the Appalachian Student Research Forum 2022. One hundred and sixty eight participants from various programs from the university and surrounding institutions participated in the two-day event. Dr. Derek Alderman from the Univeristy of Tennessee - Knoxville was the keynote speaker for the event. Dr. Joseph Shrestha from the Department of Engineering, Engineering Technology, Interior Architecture, and Surveying served as the Chair of the ASRF Task Force.
Grant Writing Workshop
November 19, 2021: The committee successfully organized the inagural Grant Writing Workshop to aid faculty members in the College of Business and Technology (CBAT) in writing successful research grants. This 2.5-hour workshop covered Research Development Committee (RDC) Grant, Open Educational Resources (OER) Grant, Instructional Development Grant, and Presidential Grants in Aid.
Appalachian Student Research Forum to be Organized at ETSU
The Appalachian Student Research Forum (ASRF) is an annual event showcasing various ongoing research activities at ETSU and surrounding educational institutions. This year's ASRF is scheduled for April 6 - 7, 2022 at the D.P. Culp Student Center.
Miscellaneous
- Dr. Matt Jenkins is establishing plans for do deep research in the Supply Chain/Logistics space in concert with Department of Management & Marketing creating a Major in Supply Chain. External monies are being raised to fund access to various databases. He has also involved external clients (e.g. BioPure).
