Emily Wells joined ETSU’s University Advancement team in October 2025, bringing more than eight years of experience in public health, community engagement, and nonprofit leadership. Prior to ETSU, Emily served as Community Engagement Specialist with Ballad Health, where she led the Community Health Improvement Program, managing more than $3.5 million in annual investments to strengthen regional nonprofits and improve population health outcomes. She holds a Master of Public Health in Health Policy and Management from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from ETSU.
She lives with her husband, Michael, in Johnson City, and outside of work, she loves listening to live music, fostering kittens, mountain biking, and any excuse to get outdoors!
