Sara Vonderheide's Profile

VONDERHEIDE, Sara
Sara (Cooper) Vonderheide was born and raised in West Tennessee. She is the younger of two children, and attended the local public schools. Upon graduating high school, she enrolled at Lambuth University majoring in English. She joined Phi Mu Fraternity for Women and served on its junior executive and executive councils. While at Lambuth University, Sara took part in the Lambuth in London study abroad program and the University Honors program.
Upon graduation, Sara worked various jobs prior to beginning her Master of Business Administration program at Union University. While in this program Sara took a job at Jackson State Community College in the Business Services area. It was while in graduate school that Sara took part in a study abroad program to London, and it was on this trip where she met her (now) husband (who was also in the MBA program). In 2011, one year after coming to JSCC, Sara moved into the Office of Institutional Effectiveness (now Research and Accountability), and she became Director in 2015.
