Praxis provides a study guide on their website at www.ets.org/praxis.
-
ETS will have the Praxis II scores posted for approximately one month after you are notified that they are available. Print off a copy for your records as soon as possible.
-
When we receive all of your Praxis II scores, you will receive a permit into student teaching. You will then receive an e-mail with a CRN number that you will use for registering.
-
Our main source of contact with our student teachers is the ETSU e-mail account. Please check this account frequently once you apply.
-
The background check is good for one year during which time you must go before the Board. Once you go before the Board, your background check is good until you go through student teaching.
-
CPR is not a requirement for student teaching but is a requirement for admission to certain programs.
-
Speech and Hearing is not a requirement of student teaching but a requirement to go before the Board.
-

We dont place student teachers in schools where they have a family member working or where they have children attending school. Please alert us if you are placed in this situation.
-
Student teaching begins with the ETSU schedule and then follows the hosting schools schedule. Year-round schools have a three-week break. At year-round schools, you will begin two weeks before ETSU classes begin.
-
There will be a Pinning Ceremony for your class at the end of student teaching. Expect to receive an invitation via e-mail sometime before the semester ends.

- The Clemmer College requires that our official substitution form be used whenever your departmental advisor approves of a class substitution. Please make sure that you pick up the official form in the Student Services Office in room 321, Warf Pickel. Ask your advisor to help you to fill it out, and both of you will need to sign it. Please bring the form back to room 321, Warf Pickel. We will ask Joel Tramel to sign in the advisor's spot, ask Angela Murray to sign in the Certification Analyst spot and send this paper on to the Graduation Office. We also will keep a copy of the substitution form in your COE file for future reference. Please don't assume that your advisor has completed the form or is using the correct form. Ask if it is the official Clemmer College form.
