Renaissance Child Home

Welcome to Ren Camp!
Ren Camp’s mission is to foster a sense of belonging where teamwork and creativity thrive through engaging, hands-on experiences that empower campers to learn, connect, and grow.
History Behind the Camp:
Renaissance Child Camps were created with the belief that a balanced variety of activities helps children thrive. While our classes have evolved over the years, our mission remains the same: to make learning engaging, hands-on, and fun. We continually adapt our programming to meet the needs and interests of each child.
The first Renaissance Child Camps were held in summer 2002, and the program has grown in popularity ever since. Camps run in five-day sessions from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Drop-off takes place from 7:45–8:05 AM, and pick-up is from 4:30–5:00 PM. Each session includes four core classes—science, art, technology, and team building—providing a well-rounded experience.
Our staff is made up of adults with expertise in our focus areas. Camp instructors have included ETSU professors and instructors, certified teachers, college and graduate students, and community members with specialized interests. Our campers represent diverse cultural backgrounds and include rising 1st–6th graders. Learning styles and abilities vary, and our staff works intentionally with each child to support their individual growth and success.
Campers are divided into four age-based groups that rotate through classes. Weekly field trips enrich the experience, except during Kitchistry weeks, when campers spend extended time cooking and exploring culinary activities.
Camp Groups:
Discoverers – Rising 1st graders
Explorers – Rising 2nd & 3rd graders
Adventurers – Rising 4th graders
Voyagers – Rising 5th & 6th graders
We're looking forward to a great summer!
