ETSU welcomes the following new faculty and staff to the university family:
Maura Condon is a research coordinator in the Department of Health Services Management and Policy. Before coming to ETSU, she was a research assistant with the North Carolina Division of Marine Fisheries. She holds an M.A. degree in anthropology from the University of North Carolina-Charlotte.
Pam DeVore is an executive aide in the Department of Internal Medicine. She was previously
an office manager/executive assistant at First Christian Church, Johnson City. She
holds a B.A. degree from Draughon’s Junior College.
Katie Flora-Moore is a senior clerkship coordinator in the Department of Internal Medicine after working as a BMW product specialist with Rick Hill Imports. She holds an associate degree in industrial technology from Northeast State Community College.
Crystal Gilland is an office coordinator in the Department of Public Safety. Before coming to ETSU, she was an assistant finance director and town accountant for the town of Greeneville. She holds an M.B.A. from Grand Canyon University.
Crystal Hornsby is a facilities coordinator in the Student Center office after serving as a temporary operations supervisor. She holds a bachelor’s degree from ETSU.
Lori Jordan is director of HIV Support Services in the Department of Internal Medicine. She was previously a program resource specialist with Covenant Health. She holds a B.A. degree from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.
Jacob M. Katko is a customer support specialist in Information Technology Services. He holds a bachelor’s degree in communication from ETSU.
Betsy Kearney is director of budget development and business process improvement in Business and Finance. Before coming to ETSU, she was finance director for General Dynamics Information Technology. She holds an M.B.A. from Meredith College.
Dr. Rashid Mahboob is an assistant professor of endocrinology in the Department of Internal Medicine after earning his M.D. and completing his fellowship in endocrinology at the University of South Carolina.
Sara Morawetz-Joyner is an information research technician in the College of Nursing. She was previously a secretary at the Kingsport Public Library. She is a graduate of Milwaukee Lutheran High School.
Scott Rhoades is an electronic technician in ID Services. He was a production operator for 3M before attaining his current position. He has studied electronics and technology at ETSU.
Jeffrey K. Southerland is a boiler operator in Facilities Management after working in building maintenance with the Tennessee Department of Tourism. He is a graduate of Greeneville High School.
