JOHNSON CITY (March 3, 2020) – East Tennessee State University has activated its ETSU Response website to provide information on support for those affected by the deadly tornadoes that struck Middle Tennessee and Nashville overnight.
Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee has declared a state of emergency.
The website, www.etsu.edu/response, provides links and contact information for those who wish to provide volunteer or monetary support to such agencies as the Middle Tennessee Emergency Response Fund, Tennessee Emergency Management Agency, Federal Emergency Management Agency and American Red Cross.
It also helps connect students, faculty and staff who may have been personally affected by the tornadoes to support services, including the ETSU Counseling Center, the Employee Assistance Program and BucsCARE.
The ETSU Response website has been used several times in the past to give individuals a way to provide assistance for victims of disasters both near and far.
