ETSU welcomes the following new faculty and staff to the university family:
Elizabeth Childress is an SBIRT (screening, brief intervention and referral for treatment) coordinator in the Addiction Science Center, College of Public Health. She was previously a residential tech/CPRS (computerized patient record system) with Frontier Health. She holds a B.S. degree in psychology from the University of Virginia at Wise.
Erin Lorelle Cook is an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Computing after serving as a graduate assistant. She holds an M.S. degree in computing and information sciences from ETSU.
Karla Marie German is a counselor in the Center for Community Outreach and Applied Research after earning
her M.S. degree in clinical mental health counseling at Georgia State University.
David A. Golden is a professor of practice and chairholder of the Allen and Ruth Harris Chair of Excellence in Business in the College of Business and Technology. He was previously a senior vice president, chief legal and sustainability officer and corporate secretary at Eastman Chemical Co. He holds his juris doctorate from Brigham-Young University and served as an inaugural member of the ETSU Board of Trustees. (Read more.)
James L. Harlan II is a professor of practice and chairholder of the AFG Industries Chair of Excellence in Business and Technology in the College of Business and Technology. Before coming to ETSU, he was vice president for integrated global supply chain at Eastman Chemical Co. He holds his M.S. and M.B.A. degrees from ETSU. (Read more.)
Trina Mathes is a business manager in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Quillen College of Medicine. She was previously an accountant at Heritage Operating LLC. She holds an M.B.A. degree from Milligan College.
Brittany McCoy is a care coordinator at the Johnson City Community Health Center, College of Nursing. She holds a B.S.N. degree from ETSU.
Dr. Donald Neba Ngwa is a post-doctoral researcher in the Department of Biomedical Sciences after earning his Ph.D. degree in biomedical science at ETSU.
Dr. Keelin Flannery Roche is an assistant professor in the Department of Surgery. She was previously a trauma, critical care and acute care surgery fellow at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She holds M.D. and M.P.H. degrees from the Tufts University School of Medicine.
Dr. Dawn Turner is senior associate athletic director for compliance and student-athlete welfare in the Office of Intercollegiate Athletics. Before coming to ETSU, she was associate athletic director for compliance at Gardner-Webb University. She holds an Ed.D. degree in global sport leadership from ETSU.
Anthony Walls is an admissions coordinator in Quillen College of Medicine Admissions. He was previously a graduate assistant working in media and marketing for the Office of Student Activities and Organizations at ETSU while earning his M.Ed. degree.
