JOHNSON CITY (March 2, 2022) – The East Tennessee State University National Alumni Association invites undergraduate students with 60-plus hours to its “Graduation Celebration: Real World 101” event to be held on Tuesday, March 8, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. in the ballroom in the D.P. Culp Student Center. The event will provide students with advice and preparation for graduation and life thereafter. Displays, prizes and music are part of this free event.
Graduation Celebration gives students a chance to order their official ETSU class rings and graduation supplies, including invitations and thank-you notes, from Balfour. Students will also receive information about the ETSU National Alumni Association and alumni membership benefits, and graduating students may pick up their caps and gowns for the May commencement ceremony.
University Career Services will also be on hand to evaluate resumés and cover letters. Ballad Health will be on hand accepting resumés. In addition, Regions Bank will present interviewing tips in dining room 366.
Also in dining room 366, Heidi Dulebohn will conduct dining etiquette training sessions. Eastman Credit Union will hold brief financial advisory talks as well. Each session will last 30 minutes or less. Refreshments will be served after each session for those in attendance. Questions are welcomed at all sessions.
MAC Cosmetics will offer color demos, and ETSU’s official graduation photographers from Island Photography will be present to take pictures. For test-taking stress relief, Jones Chiropractic will offer free chair massages. Banks, insurance companies and other vendors, along with various ETSU campus services, will distribute information and giveaways regarding life after college.
