ETSU to cohost International Rural Nursing Conference

(July 19, 2023) A conference addressing the unique and varied health aspects of rural and remote communities and focusing on culture, global health, policy and interdisciplinary professional issues will be held in Johnson City Wednesday-Friday, July 26-28.

The 2023 International Rural Nursing Conference: Rural Health Equity in Practice, Education and Research will bring together nurses and other health care professionals, as well as educators and researchers, from all over the world to share research and propose solutions to nursing problems that affect all. The event, which will take place at the Carnegie Hotel, is hosted by the Rural Nurse Organization and East Tennessee State University's Office of Professional Development in collaboration with the ETSU College of Nursing and Binghamton University’s Decker College of Nursing and Health Sciences.

Conference participants will hear from a variety of speakers from throughout the U.S. and abroad, who will speak on issues affecting people living in rural and underserved areas and the health care professionals who serve them.

With five health sciences colleges and more than 40 health sciences programs, ETSU offers a robust combination of academic programs and patient-care facilities that elevate interprofessional experience in health care education.
