ETSU highly ranked in prestigious Princeton Review
The university prizes hands-on learning for all students.
East Tennessee State University was ranked by the prestigious Princeton Review as one of the best regional colleges in the South.
This ranking in the 2024 Best Colleges edition puts ETSU well ahead of hundreds of
colleges and universities.
“I am not at all surprised by this ranking,” said Dr. Kimberly D. McCorkle, provost
and senior vice president for Academic Affairs. “Our dedicated faculty and staff have
worked hard to offer an outstanding education at a compelling price, and our students,
armed with grit and determination, are simply incredible.”
As for the education offered to students, ETSU prizes a hands-on approach. Across a range of programs, the university aims to help students shift seamlessly
from enrollment to employment, from jobs at Disney to guaranteed employment with BlueCross BlueShield. Faculty and staff work tirelessly to prepare students for and to help them land
a job.
ETSU has also taken extraordinary steps to make college more affordable.
At ETSU, more than eight –in 10 students receive some form of financial assistance, and U.S. News and World Report places ETSU in the top 10% of the nation when it comes to graduating students with the least amount of debt. Almost half of all graduates leave with no debt at all.
And ETSU students are enjoying a return on their investment. By offering elite scholarships that take students through the region and beyond, the university has signaled an increased commitment to helping students compete for major awards.
A report by Third Way listed ETSU among the top institutions in the nation for promoting
the economic mobility of its graduates. The university serves roughly 14,000 students
through more than 160 academic programs.
