2024-2025 ETSU scholarship application now open
East Tennessee State University has scholarships that are available to current and prospective students.
The 2024-2025 scholarship application at East Tennessee State University is now open
to current and prospective college students.
ETSU’s Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships launched the scholarship application on October 1.
“The application is a student's gateway to a range of scholarships available at ETSU,”
said Ronda Gross, ETSU’s assistant director of scholarships. “We have hundreds of
scholarships to award to students.”
The deadline to submit the ETSU scholarship application is March 1, 2024, but students
are encouraged to complete it as soon as possible.
“The scholarships typically range from $500 to $5,000 per year,” Gross said. “Most
of the scholarships are renewable. We still encourage students to apply every year
because, depending on what category they fall into, they could qualify for a different
scholarship than in previous years.”
Based on a student's response to the questions, the application form will filter applications
into the correct categories for consideration. Gross also shared some advice for how
to approach the process.
“It’s important to take it seriously and answer every question,” she said. “This is
the time to brag about yourself and your accomplishments and activities. You really
need to put your best foot forward. Take the time to highlight what you’ve done and
what makes you stand out from the rest.”
Students are also encouraged to reach out to their individual academic departments
to learn how to apply for additional funding.
At ETSU, more than eight-in-10 students receive some form of financial assistance, and nearly half of all students graduate with no debt at all.
