ETSU Unveils 2023 Holiday Video Featuring a Star-Studded Cast

Welcome to Buccaneer Land!

East Tennessee State University (ETSU) proudly announces the release of its much-anticipated annual holiday video. This year, we're dialing up the charm and nostalgia by taking a whimsical journey to "Buccaneer Land," a magical realm inspired by the hit Barbie movie. Prepare to be transported to a world where dreams come alive and creativity knows no bounds!

A Star-Studded Buccaneer Spectacle

Our 2023 edition features a lineup of talent that's nothing short of spectacular. Bringing together a diverse cast from across the campus, the video showcases the many ways to shine in the Buccaneer community. You'll see familiar faces and rising stars, including the charismatic Marching Bucs Majorettes, the strategic minds of our award-winning Mock Trial Team, members of the Student Government Association and athletes from the ETSU women's basketball team and the 2023 SoCon Championship men's soccer team.

Not to be outdone, the video also features cameos from the spirited members of Party Bucs and Buc Wild, the dedicated students from ETSU Health, and a vigilant officer from the ETSU Office of Public Safety, escorted by ETSU’s favorite pup, Pepper. Adding a touch of style and flair, ETSU Provost Dr. Kimberly D. McCorkle makes an appearance, alongside Mrs. Noland, President Noland, and, of course, everyone's favorite mascot, Bucky.

  Narrator: Since the beginning of time, since the first Buccaneer ever existed, ETSU has been a place where dreams awaken. Moments of anticipation give way to moments of magic as we discover a family we never knew was out there, waiting for us. And a place where everyone shines in their own unique way. 

   

  Mrs. Noland: [SINGING] Make my wish come true, baby all I want for Christmas is you [SCREAMING]

   

  President Noland: oh baby, you Look, it's the world-famous ETSU Majorettes. They're gonna be in New York next year with the flag corps and the band in the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade. 

   

  Mrs. Noland: Hi Majorettes; go Bucs! 

   

  Majorettes: Go Bucs! 

   

  Narrator: Where people come first and are encouraged to achieve excellence. 

   

  SGA Students: Hi; happy holidays!

  President Noland: We're good. It's the same thing I said. Tape. 

   

  Mrs. Noland: That means we're old, honey. 

   

  President Noland: I say tape all the time, and they make fun of me for saying tape.

  President Noland: It's not that complicated. 

   

  Mrs. Noland: I don't know why I've got it in my mind. 

   

  President Noland: Come on, Will Ferrell; get focused.
