ETSU launches the Fall 2024 semester with Welcome Week
ETSU is celebrating the start of the new academic year with its annual Welcome Week – a period designed to welcome nearly 2,100 new students and all returning students, including 3,400 living in on-campus housing.
Welcome Week will take place from Sunday, Aug. 25, through Friday, Aug. 30. During this week, students will get settled on campus, participate in activities and events with new friends, learn about campus traditions and resources and get connected to the Buccaneer community.
Highlights of the week include a Block Party, the Campus Rec & SGA Pool Party, an ROTC 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament, student organization-sponsored events and so much more. Attendees will be eligible to win tablets, headphones and other prizes.

Monday, August 26
Dip Into Leadership & Community | 10 a.m.-2 p.m. | University Commons

Tuesday, August 27
Scoop on Faith, Service & Impact | 10 a.m.-2 p.m. | Borchuck Plaza
Grab a scoop of ice cream and learn about campus ministries and campus/community service organizations.
Campus Rec & SGA Pool Party with Sports and Wellness Showcase | 6-8 p.m. | CPA Pool
Whether you want to take a dip in the pool or stay dry in the courtyard, there will
be plenty to enjoy, including a DJ, free food, free T-shirts, raffle prizes and much
more.
Wednesday, August 28
ETSU PRIDE Community Showcase | 9 a.m.-1 p.m. | Borchuck Plaza
Students, faculty and staff can get to know local businesses and organizations at this event, enjoying free food, lots of giveaways and more.
ROTC 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament | 5-7 p.m. | CPA
Think you've got what it takes? Register your team for this 3 on 3 basketball tournament early so brackets can be built.

Arts and Cultural Remix | 10 a.m.-2 p.m. | Pride Lawn
The Arts and Cultural Remix exists to welcome students to campus with cultural representations by student organizations, activities and entertainment and to invite students to join any organizations.
Friday, August 30
Academic & Honors Campus Roundup | 10 a.m.-2 p.m. | Pride Lawn
Offices providing student support services, academic departments, as well as academic student organizations and honor societies will set up displays and activities at this fun-filled event.
