Step into a season of innovation and classics thanks to ETSU Theatre
An incredible 2024-25 season is on tap for the Department of Theatre and Dance at East Tennessee State University.
“We invite the campus and surrounding region to join us for these exciting and diverse productions,” said Karen Brewster, chair of the department. “We hope to challenge and entertain audiences with this unique combination of new plays, musical standards and classical theater. We are very excited to collaborate with our good friends in the Department of Music and Department of Appalachian Studies.”
The department is a tremendous source of creative energy both on campus and throughout the region, drawing hundreds of people to performances each year.
Here’s a look at this season’s productions, with tickets available through the ETSU Martin Center for the Arts:
- “The Moors,” written by Jen Silverman, Oct. 24-27, at the Martin Center’s Bert C. Bach Theatre.
- “Cabaret,” based on the book by Joe Masteroff, Nov. 20-24, at the Bach Theatre.
- “The Wolves,” written by Sarah DeLappe, March 6-9, at the Bach Theatre.
- “The Tempest,” written by William Shakespeare, April 10-13, at the Bach Theatre. This performance features collaboration with Bluegrass, Old-Time and Roots Music Studies in the Department of Appalachian Studies.
- “Sondheim Musical Revue” on April 23 at in the ETSU Foundation Grand Hall at the Martin Center. This is a collaboration with the Department of Music at ETSU.
