Congratulations to the 2024  and 2025 cohorts who completed the 3 week program and were offered scholarships in the amount of  $1000 and 2 college credits as part of their admission package to ETSU.

Applied STEM Foundations - 3 Weeks

Applied STEM foundation is a 3-week  experiential program that covers various academic majors such as computing, digital media, engineering, and biology. The program is mainly for high school students interested in a STEM major but mature 8th graders are encouraged to attend. Each week students will be given the opportunity to explore areas and careers in STEM through the use of classroom lectures, hands-on experiences, various field trips, and speaker presentations.  Students may have the opportunity to earn college credit

Program Objectives

  • Facilitate students' understanding of the skills needed to succeed in a STEM major.
  • Promote student exploration of STEM concepts, careers, and major development in STEM.
  • Facilitate students working collaboratively in diverse teams, valuing and leveraging individual strengths to achieve common goals.
