Space Week: An Experience in Astronomy and Rocket Science. Back by Popular Demand
"All systems are go" and we are planning for an exciting week of space travel! Campers will study our solar system, the galaxies, and other properties that make up the universe. They will participate in exciting science activities, problem-solving challenges and cross-curricular art projects. They will attend a presentation at ETSU's state of the art planetarium and will have an opportunity to look through ETSU Astronomy telescopes. A variety of rockets will be made and launched. Come join us for an out-of-this world experience!

The campers will engage in the study of marine biomes, the oceans' ecosystems, and the animals that inhabit them. They will explore the field of oceanography, ocean tides and currents, and underwater volcanoes. Campers will participate in problem solving challenges and cross-curricular art projects. Marine Science week will be oceans of fun-dive on in!
Session Three: June 21-25, 2021
Construction Zone: An Engineering Camp A Yearly Favorite!
This popular STEM camp features the areas of Engineering, Physics, and Math.
Campers will explore the fundamental concepts of energy, force, friction and other basic laws of physics. They will use their problem-solving skills to build vehicles, simple machines, roller coasters and other items. Our classroom will be filled with ramps, marble runs, and bridges with cars zipping down the hall! Grab your hard hat; you will truly be entering a construction zone!
Session Four: June 28 - July 2, 2021
Bot Camp: An Experience in Robotics New!
Campers will be introduced to Robotics according to their age group. It will be similar to Construction Zone as there will be projects that involve a lot of activity. We will make projects such as Doodle Bots, Bristle Bots, and a robotic system. These robots will become your child's best friend!
Camp Break: July 5-9, 2021
Session Five: July 12-16, 2021
Cool Chemistry Fun Back for a Second Summer - kids love it!
Grab your safety googles and head for the Renaissance Camp's science lab! There is no better way to develop an understanding of the field of chemistry than to perform hands-on experiments, and that is what the campers will do. Concepts demonstrated include the states of matter, chemical reactions, and the difference between compounds, mixtures and solutions. There will be a lot of bubbling, fizzing and maybe an explosion, all guaranteed to capture the interest of the participants.
Session Six: July 19-23, 2021 Truly for the Renaissance Child of the 21st Century
STREAM: Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts, and Math
STREAM Camp is STEM plus cross-curricular activities in Language Arts, Literature, and Art.
Different activities in science, technology, engineering, and math are featured each day.
Campers will be able to work with electrical circuits, make use of the computer lab, participate in problem solving, take part in a variety of science experiments and much more. It is Renaissance Camp's tried and true formula for an amazing week!
Session Seven: July 26-30, 2021
"POP" Camp (Preserve Our Planet): Ecology and Environmental Science
"POP" Camp will offer the participants an opportunity to investigate the ways that our environment affects the Earth and its inhabitants. Campers will take part in some creative activities to demonstrate the importance of taking care of the environment. They will use microscopes to investigate the world of microorganisms, and do soil and water sampling. They will use alternate forms of energy in designing a solar oven, wind power, and generate electricity from dirt. The campers will practice the 3 R's (REuse, REduce, Recycle) when they make upcycled art projects. These activities, and more, will make for a very POPular time!
