Ending Fall Bands Concert to evoke 'Pride, Praise, and Peacefulness'

JOHNSON CITY – The East Tennessee State University Chamber Winds and Symphonic Winds will perform in the Ending Fall Bands Concert on Thursday, Nov. 21, at 7:30 p.m. in the D.P. Culp University Center’s Martha Street Culp Auditorium.

Conductor Dr. Christian Zembower, ETSU director of bands, selected numbers for the program that evoke the moods of “Pride, Praise, and Peacefulness,” as well as combinations of the three.  Included are “Serenade (Songs of the Night)” by David Gillingham, “Pacem: A Hymn of Peace” for brass choir by Robert Spittal, “Chorale Prelude: Turn Not Thy Face” by Vincent Persichetti, “Lauds (Praise High Day)” by Ron Nelson, “I Am” by Andrew Boysen and “The Promise of Living” from “The Tender Land” by Aaron Copland.
