TSBDC at ETSU to offer April training classes for small businesses


JOHNSON CITY (April 2, 2014) — The Tennessee Small Business Development Center (TSBDC) at East Tennessee State University will offer potential entrepreneurs two training classes in April.

Registration is required, and the sessions are free.  The classes will be held at the ETSU Innovation Laboratory, 2109 W. Market St.

“Twitter for Small Business,” on Tuesday, April 8, from 9 a.m.-noon, covers ways businesses can use the social media network Twitter. All participants must have an active Twitter business page. The topics discussed include how to gain a following, promoting a page, creating the perfect tweet, engaging and listening to followers and how to monitor analytics. The session is limited to six participants.

“Instagram for Small Business” will be held Tuesday, April 29, from 9 a.m.-noon. The workshop is designed to help participants use the social media network Instagram. Included are an overview of the Instagram site, ways to establish a presence and how a business can use the network.
