'Yoruba Spiritual Traditions'
JOHNSON CITY – “Yoruba Spiritual Traditions and the Spiritual System of Nigeria, West Africa” is the focus of a talk to be held at East Tennessee State University on Thursday, April 26, at 9:45 a.m. in 124 Rogers-Stout Hall.
This talk will be given by Dr. Oluseyi Adeyi Atanda, a practicing OB/GYN physician, as well as the Ajana Awo of Osogbo, Nigeria. As the coordinator of the Nigerian branch of the Healing, Teaching and Tourism Temple of African Faith International, he works to preserve the history of the traditional Yoruba teachings and spiritual system of Nigeria.
His free public appearance is sponsored by Africana Studies at ETSU. Refreshments will be served after the talk. Visitors from the community must obtain a temporary parking permit at https://www.etsu.edu/facilities/parking/ or at the drive-through window of the ETSU Parking Services Office at 132 Stout Drive, just off the main entrance to the ETSU campus on University Parkway.
