The new site for ETSU Health Infectious Disease and the Ryan White Center of Excellence for HIV/AIDS officially opened with a ribbon cutting on Tuesday, August 13. The Kingsport site at 105 West Park Drive, Suite 2A, joins the existing treatment center for infectious diseases in Johnson City and expands access to infectious disease care to residents of Sullivan County and its surrounding rural areas. The Kingsport site is the fruition of a long-term goal of Dr. Jonathan Moorman and staff at the Center of Excellence in HIV/AIDS.

Special guests Quillen College of Medicine Dean Dr. William Block, Department of Internal Medicine Chair Dr. Deirdre Pierce, Associate Vice President for Clinical Research Dr. Jonathan Moorman, Kingsport Mayor Patrick Shull, and Kingsport Alderman Darrell Duncan gave remarks and were joined by Amy Nelson, Practice Administrator, to officially open the new facility. It will offer a full range of infectious disease care mirroring that of the Johnson City site, including onsite lab services, infectious diseases consultation, wound care, HIV medical case management and support services, HIV specialty care, HIV primary care, and an onsite pharmacy expressly for patients.

Please join us in congratulating ETSU Health, the Department of Internal Medicine, and the Division of Infectious Diseases, Inflammatory, and Immunologic Disease on their beautiful new clinical space.
