Suzanna Kulikowski has recently been hired to fill the role of Clinical Research Coordinator with the Center of Excellence in Inflammation, Infectious Disease, and Immunity (CIIDI). Suzanna is a native of East Tennessee and obtained her bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies at ETSU. Before the clinical research coordinator position, she worked extensively in the blood and plasma banking industry and in biological specimen acquisition and processing.
Suzanna will work primarily with the Veterans Health Administration Science and Health Initiative to Combat Infectious and Emerging Life-threatening Diseases (VA SHIELD), which is a comprehensive biorepository of specimens and clinical data used to advance research to improve diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities. She will also provide clinical research support for the CIIDI clinical research office, primarily by recruiting subjects, obtaining informed consent, and collecting and processing clinical samples.
