Patti Garrett has recently been hired to fill the role of Grants and Operations Manager with the Center of Excellence in Inflammation, Infectious Disease, and Immunity (CIIDI). Patti is a native of South Carolina who earned her master’s degree in graphic communications and bachelor’s degree in design from Clemson University. Prior to the Grants and Operations Manager position, she worked extensively in development for a local non-profit in the healthcare industry. Patti also previously served as an administrator of federal grants at the local government level.
Patti will oversee the management of the Ryan White HIV/AIDS grants for the Center of Excellence for HIV/AIDS, ensuring compliance and effective communication with funding agencies. In addition, she will manage compliance of the associated 340B drug pricing program. She says, “I am looking forward to making a small contribution to improving community healthcare by supporting the Center of Excellence for HIV/AIDS essential initiatives that address the critical need for care for low-income people living with HIV/AIDS in our region.”
