Hadii Mamudu, Professor in the East Tennessee State University College of Public Health Department of Health Services Management and Policy, has been appointed to the Strategic Outcomes Subcommittee of the American Heart Association Research Subcommittee Commission. Dr. Mamudu was reappointed in June.
Dean Randy Wykoff said, "I am pleased that Dr Mamudu will continue to serve on this important committee and share his deep expertise and experience.”
This committee has key roles and responsibilities in support of the AHA’s national mission, including identifying “new areas of focus for AHA’s research portfolio; analyzing and advising on AHA’s current research programs; assessing and reporting on the research environment and trends in science; and establishing and maintaining research metrics and benchmarks;” among others.
Dr. Mamudu recently completed his initial two-year term on this committee and his invitation to serve for another two-year term is a testament to his valuable contributions to this expert group.
