College of Public Health congratulates its 1911 Society winners

Three College of Public Health students have been recognized as winners of the 1911 Society recognition.

This highly competitive award is given annually to only 11 students at ETSU, to recognize academic achievement, sustained service, honors and recognitions, leadership and other characteristics.

This year’s group of 11 include three students in the College of Public Health.

  • Ahauve Orusa, a student in the Doctor of Medicine/Master of Public Health joint degree program;

  • Elayna Chavis, a Health Science student in the Accelerated Master of Public Health program;
  • Sally Chikomb, a Health Science student who is also in the Global Health and Development minor.
     

"We are honored to have these students recognized by the 1911 Society which is an excellent to showcase ETSU students for not only their academic excellent but their accomplishments in service and leadership," said Dr. Taylor Dula, Assistant Dean for Student Services.

Dean Randy Wykoff added “Over the five years that the 1911 Society has been in existence, students in the College have been recognized eleven times—in other words, one in every five students recognized, or twenty percent, has been in the College of Public Health, even though we only represent seven percent of the student body.”

ETSU 1911 Society
