Dear University School Families,
We are excited to announce that beginning on July 11 afterschool care will be provided by University School for the 2019-2020 school year. The program is open to students in Kindergarten through 8th grade. The program operates daily from 3:15-5:30 in our school building.
In the event that school closes early or is not in session, afterschool care will not be offered. Afterschool care will not be open on half days. In the event that the school dismisses using a controlled release due to a threat in the area, afterschool care will be cancelled unless otherwise announced.
The daily cost of the program is $15 per day or $60 per week for students who use the program full time. Payment is only expected for the days you actually use afterschool care. Payments should be made to University School. Online payment options should be available for parents and will be communicated when it becomes available.
The tentative schedule for each day will be as follows:
· 3:15-3:30 Check in and Snack in the Library
· 3:30-4:00 Homework Half Hour (Reading, Writing, Art for students that do not have daily homework)
· 4:00-4:45 Outdoor Time/Gym Time
· 4:45-5:30 Free Choice Time in the Library (Games, Puzzles, Art, Reading, etc.)
University school welcomes Josie Carter and Katie Metcalf to our staff to operate the daily afterschool care program. Hunter Oliver and Erin Penley will also help on some days. Afterschool care staff can be reached at 423-491-1145 during afterschool care hours. Erin Doran will oversee the program. Please direct questions about afterschool care to Erin Doran at firstname.lastname@example.org or 423-439-4271.
Forms for afterschool care are available in the office and will be available on our website as soon as we can get them uploaded. Forms will also be available during University School’s Open House on July 9 from 5:00-7:00. This will also be a great chance for you and your child to meet Josie and Katie.
We look forward to providing this program for our students!
