Faculty Practice Network

Students from both undergraduate and graduate nursing programs are integrated into each clinic's practice site. Faculty assignments to the clinics range from direct patient care to clinical supervision of student rotations. Faculty and student participation in research projects have included research on smoking cessation; outcomes of nurse-managed care; health status of rural women; evidence-based care research; hypertension; effects of socio-economic status and gender on rural health indicators and others. The Faculty Practice Network provides a unique and effective setting in which to integrate nursing practice, the education of nursing students and service to the community.
