Thank you to everyone for making this year's Forever ETSU a huge success!

Forever ETSU Week of Giving is right around the corner, and ETSU Bill Gatton College of Pharmacy is excited to share its lineup of events happening April 20–26 to help celebrate our student pharmacists and support their success through scholarships. Below is a quick guide to each day’s activities, including times and locations.
Last year our college was No. 1 for social media participation across the entire university. Let’s win it again this year! During the week, follow us for updates on social media at Facebook, Instagram, Threads, LinkedIn, and X (Twitter) and be sure to share, like, and engage with us. Learn more, give during April 20-26 at www.etsu.edu/give.
Throughout the week, a Lego Bucky will be hidden on our campus, as well as on main campus, for you to try and find.

Dr. Brian Odle Scholarship Endowment and Commemorative Pin
Numerous Gatton scholarships are available to support, including the Dr. Brian Odle Scholarship Endowment, honoring the legacy of the late Dr. Brian Odle, Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice, who passed away in 2021 from cancer. Donations to the Odle Scholarship of $100 or more will receive a special commemorative pin (pictured), which features his signature bow tie and four words of wisdom which he shared with past graduates, "Preparation, Planning, Practice, and Performance."
These words and his legacy continue to guide Gatton student pharmacists today, as P3s receive the pins as they prepare to begin their Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences (APPEs). In 2026, Dr. Odle’s wife, Kim, presented the pins to the students (pictured).

Wednesday, April 22—Student Day & 2026 Grad Send-Off / Power Hour Competition
Gatton's student organizations will participate in a Forever ETSU fundraising event called the “Power Hour” at the Culp Cave, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, for a chance to win $500 for their org. Last year, our APhA-ASP committee took the win during the first hour, and Kappa Psi came out on top for the second hour. Let’s sweep all four hours this year!!!
Below are important notes, a schedule of events, and even a script so you can share with others to support this event.
Here are some important things to remember:
- Participation is the key, as even $1 counts toward the organization's total for the leaderboard.
- The donor must specify which student org they’re supporting in the memo line during the donation process: “Power Hour (insert student org's name)”
- The donation must be processed strictly during the designated hour to count toward that specific challenge.
- You may be contacted by multiple student orgs competing at the same time! Feel free to pick one—or give to both!
- Spread the word to others! See script below at the bottom of this email.
- For students who donate $25: they may choose either the Culp Center experience (as you stated above) or receive a gold cord for graduation.
- Faculty and staff: Donations during Power Hour counts toward both the student org's goal and the overall faculty/staff participation percentage.
