Sunflowers

Sunflowers

Congratulations on being selected for the important task of researching the life cycle of the sunflower.  It is important to research and report back to the Johnson City Parks and Recreation on each stage of the life cycle and the things needed at each stage in order for the sunflower to survive in the new park.  We want to create a great sunflower habitat.  Please follow the following steps in order to recommend the best possible environment for these sunflowers.

Creating a Great Sunflower Habitat

1.

Print the notes page to take notes on as you do your research.  You only need one note page for your entire group.  Please do not print pages of sunflower information from the internet.  You should read the information on the computer and take notes with any necessary information on the notes page.

Notes Page

3.

After you have completed your research and completed your notes page then as a group you need to discuss the life cycle of the sunflower and the things you feel are important for the Johnson City Parks and Recreation to include in the park.

4.

As a group create a poster to present to the Johnson City Parks and Recreation. The poster should include a picture of the life cycle of the sunflower that you draw.  You should also include information about each stage of the life cycle and the habitat you recommend for each stage.

5.

Decide as a group how you will present your information. Each group member should be part of the presentation.

6.

After you have completed your presentation print a Self Evaluation Rubric and complete the rubric for yourself. Then print a Peer Evaluation Rubric for each member of your group and complete one for each member.
