Short Bio
After finishing his Ph.D. in Chemistry, he taught at Coastal Carolina University until 2011. He started in Analytical Chemistry here at ETSU Fall 2015 after being an Assistant Professor at East Central University in Ada, OK. In addition to teaching General and Analytical Chemistry courses, his research is focused on the broader area of alternative energy. From 2023 – 2026 the Department of Defense’s Army Corps of Engineers Energy Research and Development has supported his current work using materials with hydrogen to convert cellulose and nitrocellulose to other hydrocarbons.
