The Department of Literature and Language at East Tennessee State University will host a special Creative Writing Festival event on Wednesday, October 25, 2017, when Charles Wright, Pulitzer Prize winner and former Poet Laureate of the United States, visits our campus.

Mr. Wright's visit with the ETSU community will feature an afternoon interview and an evening reading. Wright will offer a public conversation with ETSU's Poet-in-Residence, Dr. Jesse Graves, from 2-3 p.m. in the Reece Museum. At 7:30 that evening, Wright will present a reading in the Martha Culp Auditorium. Both events are free and open to the public.

Festival organizers wish to express their gratitude to the Office of the Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs, Vice President Bert C. Bach, the College of Arts and Sciences and Dean Gordon Anderson, and the Department of Literature and Language and its chair, Professor Katherine Weiss, for their support of this event.
