Victoria Keller is an accomplished pedagogue, collaborative pianist, music director, and academic whose passion for teaching spans several departments. Originally from the Tampa Bay Area in Florida, she has spent her career dedicated to the art of pedagogy across many disciplines. She has served as collaborative pianist and accompanist coach for ETSU's Theatre and Dance department since 2023, as well as faculty pianist and adjunct for the Music department, where she has gotten to collaborate with the Belles Choir, Greyscale, the ETSU Symphony Orchestra, and other ensembles.
Earning her undergraduate degrees at Southeastern University in Lakeland, Ms. Keller pursued dual majors of a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance and a Bachelor of Science in Church Music, with minors in both Biblical studies and Ancient Greek. There, she studied with Dr. Howard Kim, a student of Rebecca Penneys. She went on to receive her Masters of Music in Piano Performance and Piano Pedagogy from the University of South Florida in Tampa, where she studied piano with Dr. Svetozar Ivanov.
She served for many years at Southeastern University as collaborative pianist and adjunct professor of piano, helping to develop a unique group piano methodology. She also served as Music Director for several Musical Theatre/Opera Workshop productions, continuing her journey as a collaborator across genres after playing for such shows as Annie Get Your Gun and the SEU Jazz Ensemble. At ETSU, her participation in shows from James and the Giant Peach to Heathers: The Musical and Carrie: The Musical has brought standards of musical excellence to both rehearsal and production. Carrie was an exciting opportunity to music-direct and piano-conduct from the orchestra pit and add a new musical hat to her collection.
Drawn to the beautiful Appalachian landscape of the Tri-Cities, she and her family moved to a ten-acre homestead just east of Johnson City, where she enjoys gardening and hiking with her toddler and two border collies. In her spare time, Ms. Keller is a voracious reader and a sporadic writer.
