Quinton Kriner was born and raised in Las Cruces, New Mexico. He started his musical career at the age of 13, where he participated in the Sierra Middle School Orchestra and Centennial High School Orchestra. He received a Bachelor of Music Performance from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana (2025), studying with Zoran Jokovcic. While at Ball State, he was able to act as principal violist of the Ball State University Orchestra (BSSO) and was selected to perform in the Faculty and Student Chamber Ensemble and Camerata ensembles. He was awarded the Dean’s List, Presser Scholar, the Hilary Hahn Scholarship, Outstanding Senior Award, Outstanding Service Award for the BBSSO, and acted as the Orchestra Librarian. He is currently attending East Tennessee State University, where he is pursuing his master's in music performance, studying with David Kovac.
Quinton has attended the East Tennessee State University Chamber Music Festival and the Las Vegas Chamber Music Institute. He is currently a section violist with the Johnson City Symphony Orchestra and currently plays with the ETSU Graduate Quartet.
Quinton also enjoys cooking and baking, reading, crocheting, video games, and playing with his cat, Darcy.
