Master of Music in Composition
The ETSU Master of Music in Composition is designed for composers who have an early portfolio of works to refine their craft and to expand their output. The program of study provides composition group classes as well as one-on-one applied composition lessons with our award-winning composition faculty. Students can choose to focus on composition for particular ensembles, such as choir, orchestra, band, or chamber, or students can study across a variety of composition areas.
Additionally, students are able to work with ETSU large ensembles and student chamber groups to have pieces workshopped, rehearsed, and premiered. The program is a unique, hands-on opportunity for students to build a portfolio that is both marketable and true to their own compositional style.
