Dr. Ghaith Husari joined the ETSU Department of Computing faculty as an Assistant
Professor in 2019. He received his Ph.D. from UNC-Charlotte. Dr. Husari leads the
department's Cybersecurity programs on both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Dr. Husari's research interests include cybersecurity and privacy, big data analytics
for cyber threat intelligence, and security analytics and automation. He often partners
with students on cybersecurity-related research projects. Most recently, he assisted
a student with the creation of a robot used to detect proper wearing of face masks
to help prevent the spread of Covid19!
