Amerrica Duggan-Torbert April 3,2024

Current ETSU students and visiting students from other institutions can enhance their academic journey this summer by taking summer session courses.

Registration for summer session 2024 courses at East Tennessee State University is now open, providing students with unique opportunities to stay on track or accelerate their academic journey toward graduation.

With over 1,200 courses available to choose from, students can enjoy the convenience of choosing from a variety of class formats, including general education courses, online, study abroad and many more. Students can complete up to 18 credit hours, a full class load.

Six course sessions will be available, with dates for each session running between May 13-Aug. 9. Registration for each session is open until the day before the class is set to begin.

There are many reasons a student may choose to complete classes during the summer, including:

1. Getting ahead: Taking summer courses can accelerate your academic progress and move you closer to your degree goals.

2. Staying on track: Maintain momentum in your academic journey and ensure timely graduation.

3. Retaking a course: Improve your understanding and grades by revisiting challenging courses.

4. Concentrating on one course at a time: Dive deep into a subject and enhance your mastery.

5. Graduating early: Fulfill degree requirements efficiently and potentially graduate ahead of schedule.

Registration for current ETSU students can be completed through GoldLink. Additionally, ETSU welcomes visiting students from other institutions who wish to enhance their academic journey. Visiting students are required to complete the visiting student application available at etsu.edu/admissions/apply/visiting.
